Our building is one of the units in Scott Business Park and has plenty of parking, with two dedicated spaces for us (Unit 21). You will need to allow about 45 minutes to one hour for your initial consultation.

Thorough Consultation & Examination

On the first visit you will initially be greeted by our friendly staff and then asked to fill in our New Patient form. This is to take general details of your overall health and well-being. To help us, it would be great if you bring a list of any medication or supplements that you take. Once you have completed the form, you will be invited to one of our treatment rooms. First, the chiropractor will take a more thorough case history and then perform an examination of your problem areas. The chiropractor will also check your musculoskeletal system as a whole. This may be necessary as sometimes problems in one area can cause tension, pain and poor function in other areas of the body.

Report of Findings

Following the examination, your chiropractor will prepare a Report of Findings. In the Report of Findings, the complaints you arrived with will be explained, together with how long it may take to correct the problem and a treatment programme will then be tailored to your needs. Usually at this point you will be given the option of beginning your treatment.

What can I expect from a chiropractic treatment?

Human bodies are not “one size fits all”, nor are the problems that occur in them, and as such each and every chiropractic treatment must be tailored to the needs of each individual patient and each time that patient is treated.

In treatment we may use any of the techniques the chiropractor feels is most suitable to you, such as gentle, diversified manipulation, exercise trigger point therapy, general massage, stretching, and, if your chiropractor feels it may be of use, orthotics. This is by no means an exhaustive list but these are the mainstay of our practice.
